Happy Dance in my new socks!!! I got them done.
This was my first experience with doing an "afterthought heel". It wasn't as difficult as I had imagined, but I did have to be careful to get all the stitches back onto those size 1 needles as I removed the waste yarn. I made the first heel too long and had to go back and take out a few rows.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit Patchwork Times and see what others have been up to this week.
Happy Knitting, Sewing, and Quilting!!!

On The Needles - July 6, 2012
Well, more progress has been made on my socks, in spite of the holiday festivities this past week here at the lake.
The blue stripe is the waste yarn I knit into the piece. This is the location of the afterthought heel which I will insert after I'm done with the leg portion. I decided to do knit 2, purl 2 ribbing for the legs, another first for me.
Be sure to stop by Judy's blog, Patchwork Times, and see what others have on their needles this week.
