This was my first experience with doing an "afterthought heel". It wasn't as difficult as I had imagined, but I did have to be careful to get all the stitches back onto those size 1 needles as I removed the waste yarn. I made the first heel too long and had to go back and take out a few rows.

They look good. Love the little bit of pooling. How do you feel about pooling? At first I tried to avoid it but now I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Judy. I don't mind the pooling. I like the idea that the yarn creates the stripes and I don't have to change colors to achieve the look.
