One of my goals for this year is to participate in a Block of the Month. I failed miserably last year having only completed three or four new blocks. Craftsy.com has a new BOM class for 2013 so I signed up and began the January block. I’m not certain I will be making the sampler quilt at the end of the year. The fabric collection that is used is not my style so I’ll have to give some thought to what color scheme I want to use. In the meantime, I’ll make scrappy blocks that could be incorporated in quilt backs.

I did these 6” blocks using up scraps. Here are some more layout options.
I’m linked up with Judy at Patchwork Times. Be sure to head on over there and see what other’s have on their design walls.
Yesterday, I spent all afternoon gathering pics of the projects I made in 2012 and created a blog page 2012 Projects Gallery.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to leave a comment.

Nice blocks. I signed up but am still not sure. LOL
ReplyDeleteI've signed up for this BOM as well, I like the blocks but not the colour scheme the tutor's using. Yours look lovely, have you uploaded them on Craftsy?
ReplyDeleteThanks Teresa. I did upload the pics to Craftsy as well. I'm still trying to figure out how I can use up my scraps. Last year I made a couple baby blankets using just the one block of the month so I may do that again this year. Let me know when you post your block pics.
